Delaware Delicious Oysters LLC, is a company founded and operated by the Atkinson family with a four generation history in lower Sussex County Delaware. We are fortunate enough to be blessed with the ocean and bay in our backyard. Many years were spent fishing and clamming in the Rehoboth Bay. Every now and then we would be lucky enough to get an oyster, but that was few and far between. With the wonderful salty taste ending with the creamy sweetness of the oyster, it always left you wanting MORE! With Delaware finally approving raising hand crafted oysters in the Rehoboth Bay we can share that special find with you only better!!!

Nature is our most important partner. The perfect conditions of the Rehoboth Bay really make all the difference in our oysters. With our farm located just inside the Indian River Inlet we get the freshest, saltiest and fastest moving water as the gravitational pull of the sun and moon rush the tide waters in and out of the Rehoboth Bay. With our aquaculture operation, our oysters are floated near the surface of the water where there is the most food supply and where the tide waters rock our oysters back and forth constantly, helping to shape the perfect shells with deep cups to hold the salty sweet meat of the oyster.
We are producing a healthier oyster and at the same time we are improving the water quality and health of the bay we grew up on. It is extremely satisfying to not only produce a high quality, delicious oyster but the leave the Rehoboth Bay a better place with improved water quality for everyone to enjoy.
